to one's toolkit of knowledge that will assist in nurturing a plan...
a strategy to get yard and house working in unison rather than acting
as separate entities. The end result can be a home that uses less
energy* and water**, and a beautiful multifunctional yard that produces
fruit and vegetables with minimal input.

In some situations, air conditioning can be completely bypassed.
                    ** Excluding toilet water, most
if not all other water used in a home can be safely reused,
with simple and inexpensive methods, to water the landscaping
that also cools the home and provides fruit. Strategies can
also be employed to take advantage of rainwater with small
                    earthworks and/or cisterns |
